iPod Touch Battery

The iPod touches’ battery lasts a long time which serves great with the many things people want to be doing on it from the recently added Face-Time feature to just hanging around, listening to music.
Like all iPod’s the iPod touches has a built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery which can be easily recharged when connected to the outlet charger that comes in the box when purchased or when it is plugged into the computer to be updated on iTunes. This batteries’ lifetime is staggering.
At full capacity the iPod touch can last up to 40 hours when listening to music and up to 7 hours when watching videos! This is truly remarkable for such a small device.
Unfortunately there is no measurement on how long the battery lasts when using apps but it is assumed that it lasts a shorter time than the 40 hour maximum and longer than the 7 hour minimum.
This battery when completely depleted however takes up to 4 hours to charge which is a relatively long time but not when the iPod can last up 40 hours. A fast charge, a charge that gives the iPod touch 80% battery capacity, takes just 2 hours which is a great option that will still make the iPod last the whole day.
While many people look to the apps and cool visual features that the iPod Touch offers, few look at how advance this battery system is which makes all of these components last as long as possible to allow the customer to use it as long as they want.
